Child Labour

Poor girl i feel sad for her.And its a shame that Child labour is still common in some parts of the world, it can be factory work, mining, quarrying, agriculture, helping in the parents' business, having one's own small business (for example selling food), or doing odd jobs.

ohh poor little girl, i would

ohh poor little girl, i would die working that much

child workers

I guess we aren't used to seeing children working and I can't imagine sending these little ones into a mill or to a field to work 8+ hours. However, there weren't food stamps, medicaid, education grants like now or vouchers for free lunches at school. There also wasn't the abundance of drugs and alcohol or telephones for the children so they can text or "sext" all day long.

I don't know how old David was but I bet Jessie did not get reprimanded by G-d for making David herd sheep (which was dangerous work i.e. lions) from a young age.

It is all in the perspective and if people "use" their children for profit or expect them to help keep the family going.

Newt's Great Ideas

Yeah, Newt, this is probably a good thing. Builds character and a work ethic.
